The first week and a half of term has sped by and the school routine is beginning to establish itself after the whirlwind of the first few days of the academic year.
Music Day was very successful with over 600 pupils trying a wide range of instruments. Individual music lessons will begin this week. If your child was studying bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, cello, trumpet or violin with Miss Correa last year they should bring their instrument with them on Monday in readiness for a lesson. Other instruments will be notified during the week. Ensembles will begin in a week’s time.
Next week we will be taking the annual individual and class photographs. These will run as follows:
- Monday – Upper School (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Kappa)
- Tuesday – Main School (Upper & Lower Sixth, Upper & Lower Transitus, Senior School)
- Wednesday – Middle School
- Thursday – Lower School
- Friday – Small School
Please ensure that your child comes to school with clean uniform including a V-neck jumper and cravat for those in Middle School and above and well polished shoes.
On Tuesday the first secondhand uniform sale of term takes place in Cadogan Gardens from 3.30pm. Please see the attached flyer for further details.
The first of the Social Evenings take place this coming week in Founders’ Hall between 6.30pm and 8.00pm. These are evenings for you to meet your child’s tutors informally over a glass of wine and so your children are not expected to accompany you. We look forward to meeting many of you there.
- Tuesday 13 – Small School
- Wednesday 14 – Lower School
Thursday sees the annual Athletics Day at Battersea Park for those in Upper School and Main School. Please see the attached letter from Mr. Hastings with details of what the children should bring with them on the day.
Friday clubs will start next week (16 September), places will be confirmed on Tuesday.
A small reminder that if you have not done so already this term, please fill in the Pupil Information Sheet on the new website. This will help us immensely to ensure our new database is completely up to date and will be much easier to update in future. Thank you.
