Headmaster’s Newsletter – 20 January 2017

Dear Parents,

This week is our annual poetry competition, the Betjeman Prize. It will take place in Founders’ Hall on Wednesday at 6.30pm. This year we are delighted to welcome Dr. Joseph Spence, Master of Dulwich College to adjudicate. The evening is open to all so please do come and support our orators.

The Lower Sixth Zeta Parents’ Evening is on Monday and there are Violin Showcases on Tuesday and Thursday. All are in Founders’ Hall starting at 6pm. On Thursday Upper Gamma are visiting the Museum of London.

A reminder of some dates for your diary. Upper School Parents’ Evenings are as follows.

  • Hans classes     Tuesday 31 January
  • Kings classes    Thursday 2 February
  • Radnor classes Tuesday 7 February
  • York classes      Thursday 9 February

As ever, a full list of dates is available on the school website.

In this cold weather please make sure that your children come to school with sufficient and correct uniform. I take this opportunity to remind you that Billings and Edmonds is the only supplier of school uniform except for our in house monthly secondhand shop.

The first Winter Course in Glion has got off to a very good start with fine weather and plenty of snow. They return on Monday evening and the second course departs on Wednesday.
