Headmaster`s Greeting

Hill House is a family school. Founded by my mother and father in Switzerland in 1949 and Chelsea in 1951, my wife and I have run the school since 2002. My younger son is the Second Master and teaches science, my older son looks after the maintenance of our property and his son is a pupil in the school.

My parents wanted to found a school that enabled children from all over the world to have the opportunity to follow an English curriculum while learning that every nation is equal but different and that peaceful co-existence comes from mutual respect, understanding and consideration for others from diverse backgrounds. Over sixty years later we still hold true to those founding principles and Hill House is now the oldest London school in which every aspect of the daily administration of the school remains in the care and control of the founding family.

You are welcome to visit us any morning of the week during term time at 8.30am without appointment. I hope you will find a school which is different to any other you have visited!
